About
My general research and career interests are centered around development of rehabilitation technologies. To this end, I have taken an interdisciplinary approach to my PhD research, splitting my time between studying neuromuscular physiology under the School of Applied Physiology and studying robotics and muscle modeling with BRHML. As a member of BRHML, my current work involves assessment of a newly developed system to induce desired muscle activity through human-robot interaction. The robot, in this case, is a non-wearable robotic manipulator system that applies loads against a subject’s hand. The results of this study are being readied for publication.
